HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Swan AI’s Head of Business Development, you will take ownership of the sales process and create a strategy that builds new inroads and relationships within many facets of healthcare. We seek an entrepreneurial-minded individual who can work through ambiguity and design a structured go-to-market process and mechanisms to organize our sales activities. You will have familiarity with the broader healthcare ecosystem and likely have established relationships within health and hospital systems, and/or payor and provider networks. This will be an exciting opportunity to build from the ground up and inject your ideas on how we go to market and position Swan. We are a flat organization that values the opinions and high judgment of our team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and execute a portfolio-wide sales strategy
• Serve as a primary client-facing representative for key early prospects and customers
• Build and nurture a pipeline of prospects
• Track and analyze the sales funnel; set sales goals and metrics that feed into Swan's goals
• Collaborate with Swan partners and portfolio teams on sales activities
• Drive opportunities for prototype testing and early adopters
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Swan Clinical Advisors, Brand Marketing, and Tech teams to execute against a business development strategy
• Leverage trusted relationships within the healthcare ecosystem to introduce Swan AI and portfolio companies
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
• 8+ years experience in B2B sales, account management, business development, or similar roles
• Prior experience selling digital health/healthcare technology/services to health systems, employers, health insurance companies, provider networks
• Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding multi-million dollar sales quotas
• History of managing and closing large, complex sales deals
• Thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, with a bias for action
• Bachelor’s degree (advanced business/professional/health degree preferred)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
